Man and Van in Edinburgh City Centre

Controlled parking covers almost the whole centre, so a van cannot simply sit outside while we load. We find the nearest legal stopping point and, where the job warrants it, explain what a bay suspension involves. Through August the Festival and the Fringe turn the centre inside out with road closures and crowds, so we plan those moves around the worst of it.

For offices near the main streets we often start early or work the weekend, when the roads are quieter and the pavements are clear.

Central living is mostly up a stair, whether a narrow Old Town close with worn stone steps or a New Town tenement where the flats sit three and four floors up. We are used to both and bring enough hands so a wardrobe does not end up stuck on a half-landing off a close.
